Let’s get into the process of taking your book from the page to listeners’ ears
You’ve spent the time and heart crafting your story, so we want to honor that. Below is a basic outline of our audiobook production process, but it will be tailored to how much (or how little) involvement you’d like to have as the author, as well as be adapted to honor the specific needs of your book.
Any of the below services can also be offered a la carte.
First Step: Launch Meeting
You’re trusting us with your book, and we don’t take that responsibility lightly. We’ll meet to discuss your vision for the audio and what your book needs.
From there, our in-house prepper will chat 1-1 with you to get a sense of what prospective narrators need to know in terms of pronunciations, important accents, character notes, and content warnings everyoen should be aware of.
Next: Casting & Narration
Your story deserves the perfect voice. We have a diverse (and frankly, killer) roster of narrators. These folks have won Audies, Earphones, and SOVAS, and are prepared to bring expertise and heart to your story.
Our standard process is to provide you with a top selection of narrators with auditions from a sample of your book, based on our discussions in the launch meeting. From there, the choice is yours! If you’d prefer for us to handle the casting, we’re happy to do that too.
Then: The Tech Stuff
Once the book has been recorded, we make sure it sounds amazing. Our engineers proof, edit, and master the audio so that you’re getting quality and upload-ready files.
During this stage you’ll have the option to proof the files and make sure the audio is in line with your vision. Nothing is getting finalized without your ears on it!
Final File Delivery & Beyond
We deliver the final, market-ready files to you! While Woven doesn’t handle distribution, we’re happy to talk through your options with you so you can make the best decision for your book.
We also recognize that marketing is a huge part of an audiobook’s success. We’ll provide you with a folder of social media marketing assets to get you started and have ALC/social media influencer options available.
